What we handle (and what we don't)
Pete's Plumbing handles the plumbing side of a bathroom or kitchen remodel. That means moving or adding fixtures, running new supply and drain lines, adding a dishwasher or washing machine hookup, and making sure every connection is correct and up to code before the walls close.
We don't do tile work, cabinetry, countertops, design, or general contracting. A full remodel usually takes a team — a designer, a tile setter, a cabinet installer, and a plumber — and we're the plumbing part of that team, not the whole project. If you're mapping out everything a complete renovation involves, the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (nari.org) is a good place to see the full scope of what a typical project covers, plumbing included.
This plumbing-only focus is intentional. Dedicated remodeling firms are set up to run a renovation start to finish, tile and cabinetry included. We'd rather be excellent at the plumbing piece than stretch ourselves thin trying to be a general contractor too. It's one part of everything we handle for Armonk homeowners, and it's the part that's easiest to overlook until the project is already underway.
Bathroom remodel plumbing
If your remodel means moving the toilet, adding a second sink, or converting a tub into a walk-in shower, the plumbing has to be figured out before anything gets built around it. We provide plumbing for a bathroom renovation, including relocating fixtures, running new supply and drain lines for the new layout, and making sure venting is handled correctly.
Kitchen remodel plumbing
Kitchen remodels often mean moving the sink, adding an island with its own drain, or plumbing in a dishwasher for the first time. We handle plumbing for a kitchen renovation, from new supply lines and drain rework to appliance connections that need to hold up to daily use.

Planning and timing
The plumbing piece of a remodel is easy to forget about until it becomes a problem. Homeowners plan the tile, the cabinets, and the paint color early, but the pipe and vent work hidden behind the walls often gets treated as an afterthought.
If the plumbing isn't figured out before the drywall goes up, a design decision — moving a sink six inches, or centering an island over an existing drain line — can mean tearing out finished work to fix it. We'd rather walk through the plumbing side with you, or with your contractor, before framing starts, not after. Getting us involved early, alongside your designer or general contractor, keeps the project on schedule instead of adding a week of delays partway through.
When to bring us in
A good rule of thumb: call us as soon as you know the layout is changing, even before you've picked out fixtures. That gives us time to plan supply and drain lines correctly the first time instead of adjusting mid-project.
A remodel is also a practical time to handle related plumbing work while the walls are already open, like upgrading your water heater as part of the project, installing a new sink during your remodel, or connecting new appliances like a dishwasher.

Frequently asked questions
Do you handle the whole remodel, or just the plumbing?
Just the plumbing. We don't do tile, cabinetry, countertops, design, or act as a general contractor. We're the plumbing piece of your remodel team.
When should I call you during the planning process?
As soon as you know the layout is changing, even before fixtures are picked out. That gives us time to plan the supply and drain lines correctly instead of adjusting after the fact.
Can you work with my contractor or designer?
Yes. We coordinate scheduling with your general contractor or designer so the plumbing work fits into the rest of the project timeline.
Do you handle moving a toilet or sink to a new location?
Yes, this is common in both bathroom and kitchen remodels. See our bathroom and kitchen remodeling plumbing pages for specifics on each.
Will the plumbing work require opening walls or floors?
It depends on how far fixtures are moving from their existing supply and drain lines. We'll walk you through exactly what's involved before any work starts.
Do you give upfront pricing for remodel plumbing?
Yes. We look at your specific layout and give you a clear price before we begin, with no surprises once work is underway.
